I hate it when personal issues start to creep in when your trying to have some fun. Going to keep this short and simple, helped by the fact that almost half of the teams are off this week with one (Montana) playing a non-conference game. Interesting outcomes last week led to some dramatic shakeups. Here are this week's power rankings (last week in parenthesis). All are my opinion only. Here we go.

1. Montana State (1)---Last week beat Idaho State at home 48-14, this week bye---The Bobcats dispatched a tough Bengals team at home last week and looked strong doing it. They will have a bye week this week and prepare for the home stretch.

2. Montana (2)---Last week beat Cal Poly at home 28-9, this week Sacred Heart (FCS Independent)---Some anxious moments for the Grizzlies last week heading into the 4th quarter against the Mustangs. But they came through and got the win. They bring in a team from the east.

3. UC Davis (3)---Last week beat Northern Arizona at home 45-24, this week bye---The Aggies made a claim to be considered among the upper elite in the conference with a good home win over the Lumberjacks. They head into the bye feeling pretty good about themselves.

4. Sacramento State (7)---Last week won at Weber State 55-27, this week Northern Colorado at home---After having a week off to figure out what happened, the Hornets came out and got a decisive win on the road against the Wildcats. They bring in the Bears this weekend.

5. Northern Colorado (9)---Last week won at Idaho 49-33, this week at Sacramento State---Do the Bears know just how good they can be? They stepped into a hostile arena and got a strong road win. They can play with anyone. They move on to play the Hornets.

6. Northern Arizona (5)---Last week lost at UC Davis 45-24, this week bye---The Lumberjacks had a couple chances to make a statement that they belong at the top, but they fell short both times. They head into the off week to regroup.

7. Idaho (4)---Last week lost to Northern Colorado at home 49-33, this week at Eastern Washington---The head scratcher this weekend, the Vandals fell at home in big fashion to the Bears. Completely baffling. The head on the road to one of their rivals.

8. Idaho State (6)---Last week lost at Montana State 48-14, this week bye---The Bengals could not handle the onslaught that they encountered last weekend at the Bobcats. They now head into the bye week to see if they can still make some noise.

9. Cal Poly (8)---Last week lost at Montana 28-9, this week bye---The Mustangs looked good for 3 quarters at Montana, then they fell completely apart and could not come through with a win. They will also take this week off to prepare to make some noise.

10. Eastern Washington (11)---Last week bye, this week Idaho at home---The Eagles are coming off a bye and are feeling good after getting a good home win over the Vikings at home. They bring in one of the their minor rivals this weekend.

11. Weber State (10)---Last week lost to Sacramento State at home 55-27, this week at Portland State---The Wildcats season is slowing losing ground after a shellacking home loss to the Hornets. They should be able to get a win against the Vikings this week?

12. Portland State (12)---Last week bye, this week Weber State at home---The Vikings are coming off another bye and hoping that it comes at the right time to salvage the season. They need a win for morale this weekend as they face the Wildcats at home.

RECAP: 1, then 2-3 with 4-6 just behind. 7-9 still battling with 10-12 falling behind.
