Playoffs

ILST 42-31 UCD
NOVA 26-21 TARL
SDK 22-52 UMT
SFA 28-44 MTST

  • Best Performance: (#12) Villanova 26, (#4) Tarleton St. 21 - After spotting Tarleton a 14-0 lead that involved an endzone pick, an 80-yard TD pass, and a blocked punt where the punter decided to hold on to the ball forever for some reason ( :? ), the Wildcats outscored the Texans 26-7 and punched their first semifinal ticket since 2010.

Worst Performance: (#8) UC Davis 31, Illinois St. 42 - The Aggie defense gets torched at home, allowing 532 yards (266 passing, 266 rushing  ) on just 63 plays.

Most Surprising Result: Villanova/Illinois St. - It's now guaranteed that a team without a first-round bye will make the championship game for just the 2nd. time since the playoffs expanded to 5 rounds in 2010 (Youngstown St., 2016).

Celebration Bowl

SCSU 40-38 PVAMU (4OT) (in Atlanta, GA)

  • Best Performance: South Carolina St. 40, Prairie View A&M 38 (4OT) - Jordan Smith catches 9 balls for 152 yards and 2 TDs while leading his team in rushing with 28 yards and a TD to help the Bulldogs win a marathon Celebration Bowl.

Worst Performance: Prairie View A&M 38, South Carolina St. 40 (4OT) - Cameron Peters threw for 412 yards and 4 TDs on just 36 attempts, and yet his team could only manage 3 points in 4 overtime periods. :?

    Most Surprising Result: (none)

And the QB for PVAMU was on the losing end obviously and he had ZERO PICKS.Illinois St WR Daniel Sobkowicz torched UC Davis for 150 yds and 2 TDs I hope he has the necessary speed to play in the NFL as a WR he has the size at 6-3 210.PVAM WR had a nice day as in the loss 7 grabs 131 including a 78 yd bomb.
