As the old saying goes, Stewart enjoyed a successful first season as the Mountaineers’ placekicking holder because nobody noticed him during the Apps’ record-breaking amount of FG and PAT attempts ... also serves as ASU’s third-string quarterback.

2006: Appeared in all 15 games ... helped kicker Julian Rauch to the best season of his career (.714 FG, 99 pts.).

2005: Redshirted.

High School: Enjoyed a terrific junior campaign at Cary H.S. en route to all-conference and all-area honors ... completed 74-of-127 passes for 987 yards and seven touchdowns in 2003 ... coached by Ben Kolstad.

Personal: Full name is Hunter Leigh Stewart ... born Dec. 31, 1986 (20 years old) ... son of Sandra and Terry Stewart ... enjoys hunting and fishing ... majoring in business management ... plans to pursue a master’s in engineering following graduation.
