Montana......
I see WAY too many 7-4 finishes in the Big Sky this year. I bet the Cats, PSU, and possibly NAU finish around the 6-5, 7-4 mark. Gonna be a tough Big Sky this year, for sure. And even though I hate the Cats (FTC!), I see the Big Sky title coming down to them and the Griz this year, because for some freakish reason, it always ends up that way.

I'd say PSU, UM, I haven't heard much from the other teams for this upcoming year.

And I think you're right- it'll probably come down to the Cat/griz game, but who knows- new coaching staff, but great players.......should be interesting. Go Cats!

Berquist? That's funny. MSU and PSU, the streak officially comes to an end in Missoula.

Come on, Cat. You're goin' crazy. Did you buy some of that stuff from Gatewood? With this schedule, there's no way it comes to an end this year.

The Cats have too much talent returning to count them out, but we shall see how the new coaching staff impacts that.
I do find it kind of funny that PSU gets a new coach, and they are now playoff contenders! MSU gets a new coach, and suddenly the team that advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs is a now middle-of-the-pack BSC team at best. Granted Glanville and Co had a chance to be there for spring ball, but I don't see why PSU is suddenly the team to beat?
That being said, while I don't think PSU will be great this year, they will be better than anyone besides UM and possibly MSU. I think it comes down to PSU, UM and MSU, with UM winning it all, and PSU probably squeaking into the playoffs. I don't buy into the NAU hype just yet. They do have some talent though.

Hate to agree with what the majority have said but I agree it comes down to UM, MSU & PSU.
3 key games
11/3 PSU @ UM
11/10 MSU @ PSU
11/17 UM @ MSU
How the new coaches adapt to BSC football will be the big issue, if PSU can win the UM game in WG it will open the door and could end the UM streak. MSU has talent but the coaching change will be a big deal. I feel better about the cats now though. They have their back against the wall with the problems that have happened and the new coaches will come in and fire this team up.
Here is how I see it happing.
Through the week of Oct 27th
PSU is at 4-1 conf, 6-2 overall
MSU is at 4-1 conf 6-2 overall
UM breezes through the cupcake schedule and is at 8-0
PSU upsets UM in Mizoola
PSU chokes to the Cats after their big win
Cats beat Griz in Bozeman
Final
MSU 7-1 BSC, 9-2 overall
UM 6-2 BSC, 9-2 overall
PSU 6-2 BSC, 8-3 overall
MSU wins BSC, UM gets into the playoffs, Maybe PSU gets in.
But then again maybe I’m just drinking the blue/gold Kool-Aid

I wouldnt call returning 9 players who recieved All-Conf recognition "some" talent...the lumbejacks return most starters and their 2 deep at almost every position. Look for the Jaacks to be more than competetive in the BSC this year
Yes but you have to win games... the Cats had only a few players on the All-Conference list, yet we went 8-5 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Besides, I think you will realize how special Murietta was this year... I seriously doubt the new guy is going to throw for 2900 yards and 34 TDs. Your offense will be good, but your defense is going to have to improve some. By no means is NAU not in the picture, I just don't see them getting it together this year.

I'll say that the post season will see the Griz (that's the easy one) and Portland State (the Darkhorse). Look out for Glanville......can you say Razzle Dazzle?!?!

Well if we let play dictate our opinions, there wouldn't be any preseason talk now would there?

I think parity has arrived; too many changes in Bozeman and Portland for me to venture a prediction and the Missoula fans had better hope there's no stumble with that strength of schedule out of conference you have this year. With McBride in his third year and the style of ball he plays, I'm certainly not going to discount Weber and...I will venture Northern Colorado, Sacramento and Idaho State won't make the playoffs but they'll screw up somebodies playoffs plans giving them that fatal fourth loss.
