I know there is another thread discussing the entire game with predictions, etc; but it's time for a thread dedicated to the Mountaineers. I am down here in Columbus and everytime I saw the score I turned to the OSU fans around me and asked them what they thought of the I-AA now... They were speechless.

I think all FCS fans are App State fans for the day. Great win for them and for FCS as a whole. Congrats ASU!

Just wondering what others think - any chance this loss to App State costs Michigan coach Lloyd Carr his job within the next 24-48 hours?

I would guess there are a LOT of unhappy Michigan boosters and fans today. Michigan was ranked #5 in the nation, playing in their home stadium and against a supposedly inferior FCS/I-AA team. In addition, even though he's won a national title there, Carr hasn't been all that popular with many Michigan faithful. Will there be a public outcry for his firing in the next day or two?

Public outcry without a doubt. They are not going to fire him one game into the season though. What an unbelievable win for Appy.

I stayed away from all media today... what with the Griz game being on later in the day via tape-delay. And after watching the game late, I finally checked the rest of todays games and scores... all I gotta say is....

Congrats to App State, great showing. I was listening to sports talk all day trying to keep up with the score and definetly was Mounaineer fan for the day. Way to represent boys!

On a second note, App State beat Michigan and still can't get any respect. Watching Sports Center right now and just called Armanti Edwards, Antwan Edwards.

ESPN Classic is showing the best matchup from Saturday right now, KSU vs. Auburn. You have got to be kidding me.

Listen, they can only play the games they have the right to show. It is no surprise that the Big Ten Network has yet to give the rights to the game to ESPN Classic to show the game as an Instant Classic.

This is great, an Ohio State fan was filming at a bar during the game.

When this score was announced at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, the WYO fans gave a huge cheer! I could hardly believe the score. Hats off to a tremendous ASU program and clearly the number one team in FCS football.

That is some funny shit. I love the credits at the end. They would have thanked the App. State waterboy if they knew his name.
That's a great win by App. St. One, I'm sure those kids will remember long after they've forgotten about winning national championships in FCS. We were cheering them on in Montana on Saturday.
