HI: What do you expect to see from Arkansas-Monticello in tonight’s game?

TW: I personally think they have improved from last year. They have a good running back (John Williams), they have a new offensive scheme — the spread. Overall, their team speed is good. They got off to a great start last week against Southern Arkansas, but I think they kind of ran out of gas. You are going to see an athletic team that is faster than the team (Angelo State) we saw a week ago.

HI: This week you have talked about how the Bearkats need to be more explosive on offense. How do you plan to do that this week against the Boll Weevils?

TW: That is one of the things we have to emphasize on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. That is how you win football games. Last week, I think we only had two explosives offensively, and that is just not good enough. We need to have big plays in the running game and passing game. I think last week we had three drives over 10 plays, while that’s a good thing, you aren’t going to score many points. To play college football, you need to score 30 points a game, and that’s hard to do with long drives. You need big plays.
