And I remind you, that there are plenty of other players from Montana that were better than him.
Side note: Did you hear the NDSU fan that TWEETERED ??? in and said that NDSU will beat Iowa St. this year, GUARANTEE IT! I

my ass off when I heard that.

Beating UNI would be a bigger upset than beating Iowa State.
But I wouldn't put money on either happening this year.

Ryan Leaf was a far better QB than DD. DD is a far better human

The fly that Obama Swatted was a far better human than Leaf.

They've been doing a state a day for awhile.... did they combine SD, ND, and Montana into one?

I like the feature they did. The interview with Hauck was good. They really under estimated the number of pros FCS colleges have been producing recently. I wish they would have touched on the number of NFL players recently from the GRIZ. Hauck has been getting a far more number of players to NFL camps.

I'd put Tim Hauck, DD, Pat Donovan, & Corey Widmer Just to name a few. Dave was a superior QB as well and you can take a look at what they both did back to back with the Juggernaut of football in Gt. Falls to see that. I watched every College game both of them played and there is no way I would have opted for Ryan Leaf over DD. Your opinion is wrong Dback but you are certainly welcome to it. Dave did more, with less, at all three levels than Leaf did. Of course his size hindered him from getting the chances that Leaf's size almost guaranteed him to get.

Not sure why you think that.
Ryan Leaf is considered one of the worst starting QBs in NFL history (14 TDs to 36 INTs).
To contrast, Dave Dickenson finished his career as the highest rated passer in the
history of the CFL (a 110.4 QB rating). He also holds the career completion % record and two of the top three single-season QB rating marks.
Dickenson put up better efficiency numbers in the CFL than Doug Flutie (a 94.1 QB rating), and I think we'd all agree Doug Flutie was a better QB than Ryan Leaf.

First off, it is silly to compare CFL numbers to NFL numbers.
Second, Leaf's college career blows away Dickenson's.
I know DD is looked upon as a god in Montana, and Leaf as scum, but ESPN got this one right. Truth hurts, sometimes.

In fairness, at least those are geographically close. Geniuses decided to combine Virginia and Arkansas and cut out all those other states in the middle.

The ONLY thing Ryan Leaf was better at was height. Leaf would have imploded in The CFL, XFL, WFL, USFL, and Little Grizzly.

And if we are just going by highschool and or college numbers DD was better.

Apparently by ESPN's logic, simply because Leaf was the highest DRAFT PICK out of Montana that automatically makes him the best athlete.

Comparing Montana numbers versus Top-10 BCS numbers is even sillier than comparing CFL-NFL numbers.
Leaf was the number 2 pick overall. Leaf was far better in college than St. David. You lose....

Jon---your logic implies that Leaf would have tore up the CFL. Do you REALLY want to take that position?

Dback, are you just playing the opposite side just for discussion purposes, or do you really believe that Leaf was a far superior athlete to ever come out of the state of MT?
