The Boston Globe has been doing a series of reports on how the City of Boston has been shortchanging high school athletic programs for years...and it's gotten Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to take some action...

Buried in today's Globe article on the high school issues is this little tidbit...

In addition, Menino said he has been working for several months on a plan for Northeastern University to make multimillion-dollar improvements to White Stadium in Franklin Park, the city’s premier high school sports venue, and also have Northeastern’s football team play its home games there.

Parson's Field is not even up to the quality of the City's top high school stadium...and moving the Huskies home games there will be an upgrade, at least facilities-wise...

Harvard will applaud the social value of the move and offer to schedule NU again ... so long as we don't have to play the Huskies on the road.

And I say SCREW HARVARD for being so snobby that they won't play anyone on the road except conference opponents.......
