Interesting article predicting five week one "upsets", including two FCS teams over FBS teams...

Discuss..... :coffee:

I like our chances - no score prediction here because this horse has been beaten to a pulp.

UNI Should win by two points on Bill Halgren's foot. :ugeek:

...after which all the Billy Halgren haters will be required to ki$$ his @$$!!!

If the hapless Cyclones win, it will be an embarrassing upset for the Panthers.

I think App has a chance, but I don't think we win the game. The real season starts the following week.

Even TerrorD isn't that delusional.

Oh, and Griza squeaks by in a slap-fest with BlackFalkin' in week one.

I pray to TerrorD that he looks favorably upon my lowly Towson Tigers against the Big Bad Wildcats of Northwestern in week 1.

I just checked and my poop was in the shape of Michael Wilbon's dome. So, sorry Andy, Northwestern wins this match-up. You'll have to content yourself with the Orioles continued success.

Northwestern isn't the 2-9 squad they used to be... they are respectable in a tough conference...

EKU and Indiana may be likely, but the Hoosiers have been showing signs of improvement

In Billy Hallgren, the Panthers enjoy the services of one of the elite kickers in the country. He ranks 2nd in 2008 kick scoring among returning FCS kickers, with 108 points. Among the top 25 returning kickers, Billy ranks 6th in longest field goal made (47 yards), 8th in both PAT% (96.2%) and kicks per game (9.8), and 9th in net kickoff yardage (avg KO 60+ yards with an average NET of 39.1 yards). He has a respectable 73.7% red zone FG% rate and provided the margin of victory against both Youngstown State and UNH. Sure, he missed a couple of long range field goals to allow Richmond to squeek into the title game, but Billy remains an incredible workhorse, one of the best clutch kickers in the country, and he contributes in so many ways to UNI team success!

Yet, despite his contributions, there remains a small, hard core group of UNI fans who criticize everything he does, and somehow think they can get a better kicker. I don't think so!
