UMass announced today that two former members of the Syracuse Orangemen football team have transfered to Amherst. Junior LB Mike Mele ( UMass bio here http://www.umassathletics.com/sports/m- ... ike00.html ) and Redshirt Junior WR Dan Sheeran (UMass bio here http://www.umassathletics.com/sports/m- ... dan00.html ) .

I don't have any other info on either.

Mele looks like a solid transfer. Seems to have put together a pretty good season last year with Cuse.

And if he is a good catch, that makes a strong LB corps that much better....

What's going on at Cuse? JMU got the transfer DL who was starting at DT during Spring ball.

That program has been on the schneid for a while now... when's the last time they were decent? When McNabb was there? Also a new coach, maybe he's cleaning house or the players who are leaving don't like him.

Me thinks ====> :thefan: finally.
