will someone please tell me why NDSU are still not ranked number one. come on after we beat sam houston which has one of the greatest QBs in the fcs. Then we go on to whollop a divsion 1 mac team by 30 points. Then we beat a desent ranked team at home during there homecoming.( we also snapped there 32 game non confrence home game streak) and they still rank the bison 2nd behind montana. come on.In my opinion montana hasn't proven themselves and should not be ranked number 1. I think they have to beat someone that is worthy not southern Utah or weber state.

I agree with you on Montana, but I'd put UNI #1 ahead of NDSU. IMHO, they've played a better season to date. I'd put NDSU #2.

I admit over looking uni but I don't know If I would rank them1. they have been playing good ball but that is against teams that are 1-3 or 1-4. NDSU has blayed some good ball against a ranked 3-1 team and 2-0 team. I would rank uni second.

UNI beat a better DI team (Iowa State)...and that team with a great QB is not exactly setting FCS football on fire...

I try to be objective, since my teams not involved in this discussion...I just feel UNI has played overall a better season and deserves #1...that is not a slight on NDSU one bit... 8-)

I still disagree. Iawa state lost to toledo while centeral michigan beat them beat them pretty bad. other than that ya I think uni should be #1 but it shure as hell shouldn't be montana.

The GPI might suit you more than some of the other rankings. They have UNI first and NDSU second. Montana is tenth.

That is how I have it, NDSU #1 and UNI #2.

Hard to argue with NDSU or UNI. I think both should be above Montana at this point. Bohl has done a nice job up there. Any FBS schools sniffing around yet?

well ndsu has minnesota in just a few weeks so we will see how that goes I just don't want to get ahead quite yet. we still got uc davis and mississippi valley state. you just have to go game by game.

It's not like North Dakota St. has always looked dominant this year.

They barely beat overrated Sam Houston State at home, & they struggled to beat lousy Stephen F. Austin as well.

Whoa, someone has stong feelings. I wish that the griz were not number 1, we always lose a game somewhere in the season when we are number 1, so I wish we would get knocked down. But, regardless, some d1 teams should not be d1. Also, Montana does not deserve to be below there preseason ranking, and until they lose one, they will stay at least number 2.

I have NDSU #1 in my AGS poll followed by Montana. I had it the other way around and switched it for last week's poll.

That game went back and forth all night long, and SHS's quarterback is nothing to shake your head at, he is a fantastic athelete and was going to Oklahoma before ending up at SHS. At any rate it was a great game to be at and watch, and I highly doubt Montana would have beat SHS the way they played that night.

Everyone in the FCS should be counting their blessings NDSU is not playoff eligible right now, because anyone that knows anything about football or other sports it's all about when you peak and play your best and if you do it at the end of the year you could be a lot of trouble for a lot of people. Right now, outside of UNI, and maybe Montana on their best day there isn't a team in the FCS that is even in the same league as NDSU right now. Next year, fortunatly for everyone else, will probably be a very different story.
Spoken like a true fan. I think you underestimate some of the top teams in the FCS, though if you think none of them could compete with you.

settle down chev......i'm glad with a #2 and #1 in the coaches. UNI is in the gateway right now. If NDSU were in the gateway right now and were undefeated as well then NDSU could be closer to or the #1 team. This year i wanted a GWFC, Dakota Marker, 2-0 vs FBS, and a #1 ranking......2/4 so far isn't too bad.....one game at a time now

We'll see how NDSU ends up the season.

As for UNI if they run the gauntlet in the Gateway and win throughout the playoffs....they will have proven that they are the #1 team. If......they do it!!

If they do run the table they do definitley deserve #1. They deserve it now as well
