I'm really upset with this one as our D would be under it's first full year with coach Blieil and Drenard was one of the guys we needed to make things happen.

has he used his redshirt year already?
if not, perhaps he can petition for a medical hardship year.

He is a senior and played 2 years at Iowa State before transferring in. I don't know if he had a redshirt at ISU

Appreciated. It feels good to have support from other FCS fans, especially since so many think MSU or UCA will take the SLC this year

I think he could take a medical hardship/redshirt but don't know that he will.

Great. I hope he uses a medical redshirt. Our secondary has always been bad, we needed his help.

Truly sucks...but happening now will allow the coaches and players to regroup before the season starts...

And in the end, someone usually steps up, and with training camp just starting, this could end being a blessing in disguise...
