Indiana State lost to NAIA Quincy 26-20 in OT. Could the preseason hype about them not going oh-fer be just that? I hope not.

Yikes. Another long year. And the Trees blew a 17-0 after the first quarter.

Holy Cow - that sucks for ISU.

Had a buddy that played there years ago - always like to see them do well, or at least be respectible.

I seem to remember that they were talking about dropping football all together. A guy on the MMB posted an article about it sometime ago. It sounds like they are just going to let it die a slow death.

I take back whatever I said about them looking up the next couple years, this is a sad sad thing. I know it is easy to laugh, but I really do feel for the guys on the ISUB team.

The best thing for ISUB, and the Valley, is for them to find a new home...probably in D2. They can't dump money into the football program, but they will dump a ton of money into a new baseball stadium for a team that isn't that great either.

NAIA may actually be pretty good this year. Maybe that is why the Griz scheduled Western State instead of their little brother, defending NAIA national champs Carroll College of Helena, MT.

They ain't defending Nat'l champs there guru. I watched em' drop the chipper in GA. I explained to you a while back what I know from why they won't go on the schedule on another thread so I'll assume this is to elicit a reaction and let you see if you can get one from another Griz fan. :thumb:

Oops, did not check it thoroughly. That's what I get spending half the week last week in Helena (tell me anything about those fighting Saints, I'll eat it up   ).

If you go check your posts you'll see the response provided on the subject. I'm a big fan of the Saints myself since I'm from Helena and grew up watching them. :thumb:

Funny, they were led by former Wyoming Cowboy Chris Stutzreim at QB, who left in a tizzy when Joe Glenn was fired.

ISU needs to go non-schollie (so as not to waste a very nice football stadium) or drop the program and focus on basketball... and the MVFC could be free to add USD

They once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, even if they had to go to OT to do it.

I was empathizing. It's all I know how to do, since the Griz haven't sucked since I was old enough to care. ;)

 No shit. If FCS teams were US Presidents, Indiana State would be George W Bush.
