I don't want to venture a W-L guess, but I do think that we'll be a little more prepared than people are giving us credit for. It might take us a game or two to fall into the groove, but I think we will.

The only problem is, a 2-3 or 1-4 start is gonna basically waste the season from the start

Nice to see guys scheduled a powder puff game with PRESBYTERIAN like Western did but, I guess we need a little break after getting our heads beat in by Alabama, EKU and Georgia. With the way WCU's program is going PRESBYTERIAN may have a shot.

Presby is going to be a conference game next year. We were asked to schedule them this year. The only conference team that didn't was G-W.

You may find that the 0-2 is right on when you face Furball and Gus. Gus gave the Natioanl Champs an OT fit last year.
Of course that was in the "burro." Makes a diff.
But look out anyway. I'll check back widga after each of those two games.

Depends on what a "wasted season" is defined as this year for us...I'm not expecting us to make it back to the playoffs and win a national championship after losing 36 seniors, but I am expecting us to do far better than having a losing record like most are surmising we will. Bennett managed to get us a winning season in 2003 with mostly untested players...I figure he can do it again this year with the likes of Jerome Simpson and Adrain Grady still on the team.

A deed often seen at the red flag tailgate at GSU before and after games, as in "CHOWAN" down.

Our MEAC will be paying very close attention to Coastal's first game versus Del State. It is a much needed win for our conference as a whole.

Agreed. DSU needs to win that game for itself and the conference if there is to be hope for an at large MEAC team.
DSU has caught Coastal at a good time. CCU is not as talented a unit as last year.
I might just wander down to Dover, DE to see this game.

CCU isn't going to be as far behind last years team as many of you may think....but I'll just let them prove themselves on the field. DSU doesn't look to be all that tough...a slightly above average QB...one RB that can get 100yds a game and 1 WR....and a slightly above average D. I mean 320 yds a game on O isn't amazing and 300 yds a game for your D means that most games are going to be very close and almost last posession....I haven't heard much about what they have done to improve on these areas but just at first glance I would be willing to say that our young guys will be able to hold their own.

I feel that if DSU can match or surpass the intensity that Coastal brings eash game, that the Hornets will win.
