Just saw on the UOP board that UCSD, 30-1 in D-II this season (30-0 before getting upset in the tournament by a school they'd already beaten this year) is moving up to the Big West.
This means another D-II opponent for those of us out west. I'm not sure how much that means, though, as the Tritons will be unofficially classified as I-AAA (as in D-I with NO football).
I'm also not sure how official this is, as neither UCSD nor the Big West sites acknowledge this news. I've asked the original UOP poster for clarification.
Any opinions out there?

A new move-up

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Yes, it is happening. 2020 UCSD goes DI in the Big West. Same time Cal-Bakersfield moves from WAC to Big West
