In a word, Wow! The Cuse beat Nova in every facet of the game last night and rocked the Dome. That was crazy seeing where they sat some people last night. All 7 guys played great and exposed some holes in Nova's game.

Wrapped up the Big East 1 seed last night and maybe a March Madness 1 seed too.

nova's problems they've had all year were on display again - very little defense, they put people on the line way, way too much, and they are reliant on their offense being outstanding every game. When nova runs into a team that can slow their offense down, it gets dicey for nova. Granted, there aren't that many teams out there that can effectively slow nova down, but I don't see how they hang with the real elites out there (Kansas, 'Cuse, Kentucky, etc) in the tournament this year. 'Cuse, on the other hand, is a legit national title contender this year - just a great, balanced team.

If Syracuse wins the NC, which they are definitely capable of doing, how great are those Lemoyne players going to feel.

They'll have a story to tell their grandkids for sure.

Yeah, imagine if 'Cuse actually played zone in that game.

Yeah, imagine if 'Cuse actually played zone in that game.
I'd love to talk to a Lemoyne player immediately after Syracuse wins the NC to see what kind of revisionist history occurs.

No need to wait until then - it was an exhibition game, and like any DI/DII exhibition game, the latter takes it far, far more seriously than the former. And come on, it's hard not to come across an article that doesn't detail that Syracuse went strictly man defense in that game - heck, I'm not sure I've ever seen Syracuse run a man defense before. It's a great story and I'm sure the kids at Lemoyne will tell it forever, but let's not pretend this was anything other than an exhibition game.
