Re: NAU announces Men's Basketball schedule
The NAU men's basketball team has given its fans plenty to cheer about over the past three seasons.
In that span, the Lumberjacks won 60 games -- the biggest of which had to be last season's 64-61 upset of eventual Sweet 16 team Western Kentucky -- a Big Sky Conference regular-season title, a share of the league title and played in all three league tournament championship games. Still, being a Jacks fan recently hasn't been all puppy dogs and butterfly kisses.
That's been especially true in the month of March.
In 2006, NAU opened league play 8-0, went on to finish 12-2 and won the regular-season title. The Jacks earned the right to host the league tournament and milked every bit of the home court advantage in a 20-point win over Sacramento State in the teams' semifinal matchup.
The Jacks entered the final versus Montana the next day with an automatic NCAA tourney berth in the balance, but they shot 14.3 percent from long range in the first half, were outrebounded 44-27 overall and lost by 13.

I think the 'Jacks personnel losses the past couple years will finally catch up with them.
