The fact UNI isn't in the top 25 of that poll is a joke...I mean it's not like they beat the #4 team, Wichita State, AT Wichita State....or fell to the #3 team in the poll thanks to a desperation buzzer beating three pointed. It isn't like UNI doesn't have any wins against other good teams...I mean New Mexico isn't any good, neither is Iowa State...or it isn't like UNI doesn't have a higher RPI than most of those teams either.

I hate polls for mid-majors, especially when the "mid major experts" don't know jack shit more than anyone else most times.

You should see if your guys would like to come play us? If you are lucky, we might even be willing to give you a 2 for 1 series in CF. :kisswink:

I'd love to see that.

Hell, I'd be willing to put the 2 games in Missoula on the front end of that one for basketball.

Guess I'm confused. espn.com has MSU listed as the team from the Sky, but says they're a home team. :?

We are a home team this year, and if you're a road team get your rpi up to where ours is then well work on it. Until then sorry.

Ask ODU, or JBBP, what its like to play at UNI for a bracketbuster

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I think you're looking at last year's BracketBusters (MSU was the only Big Sky team in them last year).

This year, all 9 Big Sky teams are doing BracketBusters. EWU, PSU, Idaho St., & the Bobcats are at home. Sac, Weber, NAU, Montana, & NoCo are on the road.

If the Griz do get paired with UNI, the game would be in Cedar Falls this year but it would guarantee a future matchup in Missoula. I remember that UNI won the last meeting with UM in November, 2002, in Pat Kennedy's debut as Griz head coach.

Right you are, I was looking at the ones from '10. Slowly walking away from this thread...

I don't know about that. Last time around, I'm pretty sure Montana could have lost to Lehigh at home too. 8-)

All I know is: Montana's convincing win over UCLA is looking better and better. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

UCLA has gone 11-3 since that debacle.

Northern Iowa knocked off Missouri State AT FREAKING MISSOURI STATE last night.

UNI has now won 7 in a row, and sits alone in third place, just one game back, in the MVC behind WSU and MSU who are tied for first.

UNI has beaten both and is playing better basketball then both.

Oh wow. That's way more impressive than beating the most storied program in college basketball in their house.

This year it is more impressive.

UCLA's RPI as of last night was 46 - and that is after an 11-3 stretch that boosted their RPI about 50 spots.
Missouri States going into the game last night was 36.

Like the "ol' gray mayor" UCLA just ain't what they used to be.

Not so sure about that, DJH. I've heard that UCLA is 11-3 since they lost face to the Mighty Griz.
