The point was Oakland is as good as the top team in the MVC this year. So yeah the terrible Summit League has something going for it, a team in Oakland that is capable of winning a game or two in the big dance.

Oakland is the only team team to beat a top 25 ranked school (Tennessee was #9 at the time), by my research. That is what I was talking about. Oakland vs. the MVC champ. I would have my money on Oakland.

Tennessee is not ranked.

You are correct. I guess I never looked at their schedule. I still think the win over Tennessee was more impressive

RPI uses actual measurable data, unlike the BCS which uses subjective polls and weighting systems.

The Valley is pretty bad this year compared to the last 10 years or so.

Missouri State and Wichita State have the talent to beat anyone in the nation BUT WSU's coach is a tool bag and his team wins despite his coaching and MSU...well...they just haven't really ever put a full game together.

I wouldn't say the Valley is that far down this year, there just is no dominant team like in years past. The top 5 teams are very solid, not dominant like Oakland is in the Summit.

Take a look at the conference RPI's since about 03 until now. This year's conference couldn't touch last years UNI or WSU teams....or any team from the top 4 or 5 from the years of 04-07

gotta go with the Jackrabbits. We'll be hosting a party at Ben's Brewing Company in Yankton, SD. Looking forward to a great game in front of a great crowd. If the Bison win I still don't think they make the playoffs, too many other really deserving teams.
