That said, if the Griz shooters can keep on stroking it, things could get very interesting.

UW jumped out to a 20-9 advantage and then MSU's D toughened up and the Badgers went cold and were down 35-25 at half. Not saying Montana is equivalent to the Spartans but they do have the athletes to play some defense. here is hoping that the outside shots are falling.
Had a bad game against Weber on the 28th, but the rest have been pretty good lately.Bear wrote:putter wrote:after watching the Wisconsin vs. Michigan St game the Griz will have to play stellar D. Agreed. The Griz are playing some pretty amazing team bball right now, and the trio of Cherry, Jamar and Ward are clutch. The big question mark right now is Selvig. He's been getting absolutely owned on the defensive end lately, and his jumper's been erratic at best. That said, Montana is a really good perimeter team, and hopefully that will be on display come thursday afternoon!

You do know Weber has an NBA lottery pick, right?clenz wrote:Great season for the Griz...but this is what happens to teams that play in very bad conferences. The change in talent level once the tourney hits is tough to adjust to in one game.
One player in the 25th (out of 30) ranked conference...compared to the B10. The talent jump is HUGE.Mvemjsunpx wrote:You do know Weber has an NBA lottery pick, right?clenz wrote:Great season for the Griz...but this is what happens to teams that play in very bad conferences. Griz aren't the only ones that are seeing this problem. Look at most of the 13-16 seeds. The talent level top to bottom doesn't prepare them to face the B10 schools.dbackjon wrote:clenz wrote:Great season for the Griz...but this is what happens to teams that play in very bad conferences.
