Shaq to players who leave early: Think twice

Post by bonarae »

It should be noted that after he retired from the NBA, he has since earned his doctorate in education...

''A lot of guys do it because of their financial situation and they need to do it. That's the only way to provide a better means for their family. So when you look at it from that aspect, I understand it,'' said O'Neal, who then told Emmert that if up to him the rule would ''probably say three-and-done.''

For players who do leave early, O'Neal's advice is to make sure they go back and finish their education. He said it's not a matter of how much money they will make, but how much they're going to keep.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

Why does a wanna-be cop need an Ed.D.?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Thanks Shaq a lot of players are not physically ready or talented enough to withstand the rigors of the NBA.

Probably to better himself, or just because?

Agreed some should look at Tim Duncan he stayed 4 yrs at Wake Forest and still was the no.1 overall pick.It was said he could have left as early as his sophomore yr in'95 and been selected no.1 overall.
