UNI completes the sweep of the South Padre Invitational (never want to play in that tourney again as a fan) with wins over Northern Colorado, Western Carolina, Rice, and Providence by an average of 13 ppg.

UNI wins the tournament due to the tie breaker with fellow undefeated team Iowa State due to given up fewer points.

No title game...it would have been interesting to see a title game tomorrow for the two schools, as they turn around and play this week again. I guess that game will be the title game.

Tsk,tsk. No Harvard in the AP Top 25, instead we have Saint Louis at No. 23 for the first time in 18 years.

Can't argue with that - Saint Louis looked real good in beating nova and throttling oklahoma.

ODU escapes another ugly game, this time against East Carolina, 63-58. Improve to 4-3 on the season. Play Northeastern on Saturday which will open conference play for both teams.

UNI defeated Iowa State in Ames 69-62 to claim the outright South Padre title.

Also it is the third straight win in Ames for UNI, and UNI has won 5 of the last 6 games against the B12 in-state rival

Eags gave Idaho a thorough beating. Never trailed, and led by an average of 15 points or so up until the last minute when we started getting sloppy and the Vandals stole quick back to back treys to close out the game. Final score Eags 73-66 Vandals. EWU improves to 4-2 on the year and will face the Cougs on Saturday, looking for a 2-0 sweep of the Palouse.

UNI moves to 7-1 with a beating of Colorado State yesterday. Game wasn't as close as the final score. UNI was up by 20 at one point.

Next game is against the Iowa Hawkeyes....hopefully UNI kicks the shit out of them.

Harvard beat Seattle U 80-70 to move up to 8-0, equalling our best start since 1984-1985.

(I'm afraid that this streak will end with UConn on Thursday, because Boatright is now on court [he played his first career game in 3rd place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis.])
