Hornets mount a 2nd half rally (and overcomes a downright awful performance from the stripe) and beats Idaho 79-76. McKinney went off for 32 points (5 treys in the 2nd half). At 4-1 in BSC play, this sets up a showdown with EWU (13-4, 4-0 BSC) in the Nest this Saturday...
...ironically on the same day there is also a showdown on the women's side of things in Spokane as the Lady Hornets rolled the Vandal women in Moscow to move the 4-1 in BSC play. I don't think both Hornet hoops squads have played this well at the same time.

Idaho's women weren't as familiar with Sac's style as the rest of the Big Sky, so I was wondering if they would struggle tonight. Sac is now 4-1 after going 2-9 OOC, while Idaho is 1-3 after looking like one of the best teams in the league OOC.

The Lady Hornets had a bbbrrrruuuutttttaaaallll OOC lineup. Even then they were close games. We'll see if it holds up but I think that tough early season schedule will have this young team ready for the BSC games.
Great game by the Hornets. Most impressive thing about the win was our ability to run with EWU in the first half (41 all at the break) and then go small and clamp down EWU's shooters in the 2nd half. Harvey was sucking gas by the end of the game from chasing Garrity and McKinney around on the defensive end. He wanted no more.
