Congrats...Wofford's defensive scheme's were brilliant...held Sims, the conf's leading scorer, & Brand who scored 37 pts in last night's semis, to a combined 9 pts....unbelievable...Wofford was great & App couldn't keep the bullet in their front pocket...

Congratulations Wofford...this App fan will be pulling for you in 2 weeks...

Wow, what a game! Congrats to both teams on a great effort, everyone in this game left everything out on that floor for sure. ASU had a very nice comeback just when I thought my Terriers were going to cruise to the win, and they scared the living crap out of me! But the trademark of this Wofford team, the DEFENSE, made sure we stayed out in front. This is like all so surreal to me right now...we are actually going to play college basketball on the nation's biggest stage...something I was always told was simply impossibe for us to ever accomplish!

I really think my Terriers have the makings of a team capable of pulling an upset or two in the tourney, and I'm not just saying that as a biased fan. This team, despite having only two seniors, is a very experienced group. We play some of the best defense anywhere, and that will always allow us a chance to win against anybody. And last but not least, this team is very unselfish...it's all about the team and no one cares about individual glory.

1 I am glad my wife was out of town on business so when YT and I repeatedly yelled at the TV after 11pm eastern time, we didn't wake anyone up.

2. Rundles is the second best thing Wofford's gotten from the University of Montana!

3. The commentators said this was the biggest win in our school history. Maybe it is because I am a football guy, but for me, that first FCS playoff win against W. Kentucky in 2003 is up there.

4. I am billing this website for a new keyboard...youngterrier didn't exactly use a light touch when he was posting during the game. I think he took 2 years off the life of this thing... I am also glad YT has found a great FCS home here.

for the record I was the first to mention that game as the biggest for football on the Wofford site, it wasn't the first playoff victory (NC A&T the week before was) but it was against the defending National champions

Good win for the Terrierists - I wish you luck in the NCAA's

I told my wife with about 5 min left that we didn't deserve to win the game even though momentum had shifted in our direction. Wofford's D was exceptional, completely shutting down two guys who scored 30+ in the prior 2 games.

To jump on the commentator bashing - they were shifting from "app-uh-LATCH-un" to "app-uh-LAY-shun" all night - just pick one. Also, if you can't find anything to say, just make something up instead of repeating the same things over and over. After the 1500th time, it finally sunk in that this would be Wofford's first NCAA appearance or App's third. Jeez......definitely minor league commentary, but you can't argue with the results on the court. I'd like to see the Terriers go deep in the tourney.
