Appalachian opened up the 10/11 slate with a big win at Tulsa 89-86. It was ASU's first season opening road win since 1993. They face Montreat tonight at home, a win would make them 2-0 for the first time since 2005. I have high hopes for Coach Capel and the Mountaineers this year. They have the talent to win their division and win the conference tourney - it's a long time coming for the program which hasn't been to the Big Dance since 2000.

Just got back (early) from the game. ASU up 30 when we left. Team started slow, couldn't hit anything, then they began to heat up. One thing I do know. We have some Athletes on this team. Very exciting to watch.

The game was delayed about 45 mins because Montreat forgot their jerseys, apparently. :ohno:

Northern Colorado has started the season with two convincing wins, beating NAIA Tabor College, 93-52, and beating Wyoming, 67-53, both at home.

The Bears were up 32-4 on Tabor and 31-4 on Wyoming.

It get's tougher, though, UNC's next game is at Arizona.

Towson ran cross town rival Coppin State out of the Towson Center last night.
89-74

Reshaun Polk scored 29 and Braxton Dupree grabbed 14 rebounds. This is a fast Tiger team.

ODU wins the Paradise Jam by beating Xavier!

ODU goes 3-0 and is now 4-1 on the season with the only loss being a 3 point home loss to Top 16 Georgetown. A game which ODU led for the vast majority.

Great start to the season for ODU!

Harvard is currently 3-1 and faces its second test of the season in a major-conference opponent in Colorado (currently 2-2) at home.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

Harvard beat Colorado 82-66. Surely Amaker wins in some of his non-conference games, but when it comes to the real test (Ivy League slate), he often fails. We'll see come the Michigan game (December 4) :?

What do you think? We lost to a second year NAIA on a buzzer beater 127-126. Not only was it the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen, we let them score 127 fucking points!

Take a guess where our season is headed.

We have a whole lot of talent with some big name "FBS" transfers but our coach can't coach!

It's more pathetic than the football team.

Bison lost last week to Minnesota after giving them a game for the first half... then dropped a close one at Green Bay - rallied to beat Mayville St at the BSA... not much to brag on of late.

Harvard beat a struggling Fordham team 80-57. Next game: Eco-friendly game at Michigan, December 4. Freshmen have been the winners by far for Michigan (Smotrycz, Hardaway Jr. [Tim's son BTW]). (Harvard has one freshman contributing to the scoring thus far, Laurent Rivard.)

More about the eco-friendly game: http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-baskbl/ ... 10aae.html Not sure about Harvard's jerseys though.

Saturday is a good test as they travel to the Garden to play the Eagles of Boston College in the Boston Tipoff Classic...
