CCU's 22 game winning streak, the longest in the country, was snapped last night in a 59-57 loss at home to Gardner Webb. Desmond Holloways shot at the buzzer from around the 3pt line on the right side fell short. CCU played the 2nd half w/o their starting point guard, Kierre Greenwood. I am guessing that he will be out for the season since he heard something pop in his knee on the last play of the first half. CCU did clinch the #1 overall seed in the Big South Tournament since Liberty lost to VMI last night as well. CCU is now 24-3 (15-1).

Holloway is suspended indefinitely. A key reserve? Do you mean Willie Kirkland? He was ruled dumb (academically ineligible) around the beginning of the season I think, or if not that long ago a while back.
