Great win for the Nova Cats last night at Butler. Pinkston looked great and Ochefu had some promising moments. On to Providence!

I agree. I think everyone obviously knew the Big East would be a shadow of itself, especially eventually. I didn't think it would begin to look so ordinary so soon.

Let's look at last year and realize that there are about 1/2 as many teams in the Big East as there were last year. Big East got 8 teams in the tourney:
Notre Dame - ACC now
Pittsburgh - ACC now
Syracuse - ACC now
Louisville - AAC now
Cincinnati - AAC now
Marquette - Big East now
Nova - Big East now
Georgetown - Big East now

In addition in the now Big East, Butler and Creighton made it from their respective conferences. In the final AP poll last year, only Georgetown, Creighton and Butler were in the AP top 25 at 15, 16, and 17 of the current Big East teams.

ESPN bracketology has Xavier, Georgetown, Nova, and Creighton in the tourney with Butler one of first 4 out. That would be equivalent to what happened last year with almost twice as many teams.

Anyone who thought things would be different hasn't paid attention to what happened to the conferences over the past few years.

Miami kicks off ACC action for the Cuse this weekend - still getting used to seeing ACC on the Dome floor.

Good to see Duke lose to a depleted Irish team on the road yesterday.

BC pushed the Cuse for 32 minutes or so, then the Orange took over. Jerami Grant is turning into a 1st round pick. Reminds me of a Hakim Warrick with more of an offensive game.

Pitt comes to the Dome on Saturday - last 2 undefeateds in the ACC.

I haven't seen much of Arizona this year but they must be good to be getting all the first place votes over this Cuse team. They are as strong as a team can get in this age of one or two and done. Imagine if Carter-Williams had stayed!

Fresh off a Pitt victory last night on the road, Duke looks like they're playing their best ball of the year. Will be a heckuva game at the Dome Saturday - 36,000 plus. But first things first - Wake tomorrow night.

Duke really needed that game last night - couldn't risk losing that one as well as losing to 'Cuse on the weekend. I don't think Duke is strong enough inside to beat Syracuse, but if they can shoot from the outside like they did last night they could keep it close. 'Cuse is far better, though.

Looking forward to seeing Jerami Grant & Jabari Parker go head to head. :thumb: :thumb: Two first-rounders.

Wow....just wow. Simply put Saturday was the Game of the Year...hands down. Believe me I'm not a Duke fan, but both sides played lights out. Best sporting event of 2014.

Notre Dame tonight!

Unanimous #1 team in the country - first unanimous #1 since Duke of 2010-11.

Cooney rips 9 3-pointers last night as the Cuse sleepwalked through the ND game. Fair & Grant were way off their normal games but they still win. 22-0, Clemson is next.

@ Pitt
@ Duke
@ Virginia

Cuse has some really tough games left. But I see at WORST a 2 seed no matter what.

Tyler. Ennis.

Admittedly Pitt outplayed them for most of the game but they refuse to lose in the stretch.

NC State & BC now come to the Dome. If they're going to lose I hope it's not 26-0 & losing at Cameron to Duke....
