It was just a sleepy game, really. The Griz never had a big lead, but it never seemed like they were in any realistic danger of losing either.Grizalltheway wrote:Don't know if Carroll is supposed to be any good this year, but only a 9 point win? Really?

Despite ATROCIOUS three point shooting and missing enough free throws, Weber comes from behind to beat Central Michigan 63-60. Will face the Drake Bulldogs tomorrow in the Florida Gulf Coast Showcase.

Re: 11/24 Games
Meh. Hornets had plenty of sloppiness to them as well as there were a lot of close shots missed. The better bench won in this foul fest of a game, the Hornets had much better defensive play and forced key turnovers at crucial parts of the game as well. Demps struggled from the floor but really came through at the stripe. Graves is looking better and better every game, and Strings is looking amazing coming off the bench and rotating in the front court.Mvemjsunpx wrote: UCD 79-84 SAC; Hornets avoid their 2nd. Great atmosphere as somehow 1400 people were crammed into the Nest. Damn good game to watch, and attend. 4-0 for the first time since forever (well not forever, I just don't feel like looking it up

And what is going on with SUU? They returned a lot from a much improved team from last season no?

Sac won turnovers 19-6. That's what I meant by "sloppiness."SDHornet wrote:Meh. Hornets had plenty of sloppiness to them as well as there were a lot of close shots missed. SUU did return a bit, I believe, but their inside game still appears nonexistent. Their schedule has been fairly tough thus far, though.

I watched the second half of that game, what a total foul fest both ways, were those Big Sky refs? Man that was bad.SDHornet wrote:Meh. On the good side, Sac is looking really good despite the sloppy start to the 2nd, and the Nest was Packed, Hopefully they can keep that atmosphere throughout the year.

I thought Bill Evans would do better than he has, but he just can't seem to get a team that has more than 1 or 2 good players at a time. If they can get some depth, the Bengals should be dangerous.
Re: Big Sky Basketball Thread - 2015-16
This is his 4th year, he should have it going now, last year was supposed to be the big year with 4 seniors, but it blew up early.

Hornets pick up their first loss 96-90 against South Dakota. Offensively the Hornets were fine, defensively they left open a lot of open perimeter shots that USD buried. Not a good loss imo, need to win these types of games at home.
