Saw the last few minutes of that game, absolutely brutal finish to it. Poor defense off the missed FT that allowed the game winning 3.SACCAT wrote:All we had to do was hit a Fing free throw...I feel sick right now.Mvemjsunpx wrote:EMERGENCY!! I didn't catch it either, but we had a 4 point lead with a few minutes left and couldn't score again. I heard we missed to tech FTs (not sure when). This was a game the Lady Hornets let get away from them.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Yep.AZGrizFan wrote:So Montana AND MSU are both out of the tournament already?
I didn't watch it, but EWU edged out Sac by 3 in a high-scoring affair.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Idaho State ended NoDak's hot streak and knocked them off by double digits in the early game.
UI outscored EWU 31-15 in the fourth quarter to avenge their season sweep and ensure the Big Sky's NCAA representative will come from the state of Idaho.

ISU out hustles UND all game. It was never really that close of a game.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Idaho State ended NoDak's hot streak and knocked them off by double digits in the early game.

I only watched the first half of the UI-EWU game. EWU looked good early, apparently it didn't last.
ISU has the hot hand coming into this, if they can keep it going I think they can punch their ticket to the Dance.

Idaho dominates the third quarter and clinches their first Big Sky/MWAC title since 1985. It's their third NCAA trip in four years, however, because they won the WAC their final two years in the league.

Re: Women's Big Sky Tournament Thread - 2016
It was a good first half, but ISU went cold in the 2nd half. The game almost got interesting at the end as ISU drained some 3's, but Idaho made their FTs to stay 3+ possessions ahead.
