Let's not pretend that as much as Kurt likes Jake and the kids that there isn't some amount of self promotion with this as well. He's getting as many national headlines as the team is. He wouldn't get that from going to Portland with the team for a second round FCS playoff game.
Remember Warner wasn't around in 2009 or 2010 or 2006 or 2005 or 2004
Also remember Warner works for the NFL network and coaches football. Not like he has a ton of free time in the fall
