Were the three's just not falling like they have been the past few games or was the D from PSU just that good?

It was more the former than the latter. UM shot 1-14 from the arc (Beck with the only make) and 0-9 in the second half. Morales was 15-27 from the field, but 0-6 from the arc. I only watched the second half, but the threes were all pretty open and yet still weren't really close to going in. Hadj-Hamou hit a series of 3-point daggers in the second half to prevent the Lady Griz from completing the comeback.

PSU did a good job denying the good post passes to Ena & the rest, but they didn't seem to do a good job at all on Morales in the post. The PSU team is claiming the strategy was to let Morales score & deny the rest, but that isn't really what I saw. Morales made a bunch of tough shots in the second half while the others missed a lot of open shots. I don't know why you would want to let Morales shoot anyway, since you know she can make the shots while players like Beck, Lohman, & the bench are less consistent shooters. If that actually was the strategy, they executed it poorly and were fortunate the others couldn't hit when open.

Turnovers killed Montana in the first half, & missed threes killed them in the second.

Yeah. I believe UNC actually led for a majority of the game. It wasn't as close as the Ogden meeting, though, which went to OT.

Weber hasn't really blown anyone away this season, but they've been able to win the close to somewhat close games & that's why they're 9-1. The fact that they lead the Big Sky in free throw shooting is probably not a conicidence (the Griz are second in FT % and are in second place, so that furthers the correlation).

Sad, isn't it? Sac made only 3 shots, got outrebounded by 8, and committed 10 more turnovers. They did outplay EWU in the second half, though.

The last time I can remember a team scoring single digits in a half in a Big Sky game was when the Lady Griz clobbered MSU-Billings several years ago.
