Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread - 2016
It's the best thing Montana/Idaho could hope for as the first semifinal is going to overtime. Jeremy Senglin hit a trey to tie it with 11 seconds left.

The Wildcats prevail in overtime after Crandall missed two free throws when the F-Hawks were down 3 with 7 seconds left. UND has been ousted by Weber in all three of their Big Sky Tournament appearances.

Montana up 34-26 at the half, could be more if not for terrible free-throw shooting. Idaho got stuck on 15 points for about 6 minutes.

Griz win by 9. Idaho cut it to two a couple times in the early-to-mid second half, but Montana's patience & precision on offense were impeccable in this one.

Those were some fun games to watch. Senglin completely carried weebs into the finals. UM was just brutally efficient against Idaho. Should be a damn good game tonight.

Hot start for Webes but the Griz get within 3 at half. Should be a fun finish.

Yup. Weber had a lead of 14 at one point, shooting really well. Griz D got the team back into it. If the game continues like this it will be an exciting game.Grizalltheway wrote:Hot start for Webes but the Griz get within 3 at half. Should be a fun finish.

Definitely a guy I would like to have had for longer. Great player, he will be tough to replace.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Senglin tried to channel Jim Brown there but forgot this isn't football.

Weber wins by 3. The Griz just couldn't anyone free for anything late.
Is Montana returning to the "always a bridesmaid" dynamic of the Montgomery era?

Only graduating Breunig helps Montana's future but I don't know that we have anyone to replace his inside presence.

Another classic Weber / Montana Tournament game, Im just glad it finally went Weber's way.
Great game played by two very good very evenly matched teams.
Go Weber
