Did anyone really think ESPN and their refs would allow Portland State to beat the #1 team in the land?
The fact PSU looked really uncomfortable against Duke's zone was the bigger concern.
Duke is not primarily a zone team, so when trying to figure out how to stop them from doing what they do best (a whole lot of things as compared to PSU), trying to gameplay for their zone is asking a bunch. Coach K didn't even know how to teach zone until the guru himself, Boeheim, gave him some pointers with the national team a few years back.
It's been a fun tournament. A lot of great teams...and then Portland State.

Really not shocked. Stanford lost to EWU earlier this year. They are now 0-2 against the Big Sky with a game against Montana on Wednesday. Viks really thought they could win.

Pretty good numbers for North in the loaded PK80. Had he kept his head together in the Duke game, who knows what might have happened. The first half, it didn't look like Duke had an answer for him. The second half, they reminded him who it was he was going up against.
