LAHAINA, Hawaii - The third time was a charm for Gonzaga University in the EA Sports Maui Invitational as the Bulldogs, fourth in 2002 and the bridesmaid in 2005, captured their inaugural title with a 61-59 overtime victory over the University of Cincinnati Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Yeah, I just hope they don't bone themselves like usual.

It was great to see the Zags win the Maui. Always good to have some nice resume wins come selection sunday. Sacre is going to have a huge year. It would have been awesome if the Zags could of held on at Michigan State.

I got to watch the WSU/Zag game in K2 last night and Gonzaga definitely has a good team again this year. It was a pretty disappointing game to be at as a Coug fan but still a fun one. I don't see any WCC teams really challenging the Zags for the conference title this season. Obviously Portland has been playing pretty well up to this point but as the season goes on this incredibly young Gonzaga team could turn into someone teams really don't want to have to play in March.

Yeah I'm gonna try to get over to Spokane during my winter break and see a game. Saw quite a few while I was in high school since I wasn't a basketball player.

I wanna make a trip to see the Dawgs in the Kennel... My East Coast Bias in terms of being stuck living here forever has sheltered me from my two favorite teams other than Liberty (Colorado State and Gonzaga)

The Zags burn me every March in my brackets - I'll let you know who I pick so you can go contrarian.

It's always Michigan State that kills me, without fail.

Tough loss yesterday for the Zags against Wake Forest. I can't believe Gray didn't hit those 3 free throws to send it to overtime. The tilt with Duke coming up is huge.

Aye, they were the better team yesterday until Harris' flying elbow.

Most definitely.
