Was channel surfing and found this game. Be great if the Griz could knock off the Big Dogs from the Pac-10.

Final

Washington 63
Montana 59

Griz looked really good. Huskies actually could be a tad underrated and the Griz took it right to them. Griz had chances to win this down the stretch.

The Griz were a considerably better team with Brian Qvale on the floor, but they were forced to sit him for several minutes in the second half due to fouls. Still a great & well-executed gameplan, though; the Griz did a great job of making UDub win the game in the half court & not on the fast break.

Despite the loss, this was a really good performance (light years better than last year's 22-point loss). I never would have thought Montana would lose by just 4 against the Huskies with Anthony Johnson scoring only 10 points and not getting to the line once.

Now, Montana needs to avoid a letdown as NAU and undefeated NoCo come to town.

Griz looked like a completely different team than the University of Denver debacle I watched several days ago....that was friggin' embarrassing. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Denver's a better team than most Griz fans (based on eGriz, anyway) are giving them credit for. They're obviously not as good as Washington, but they were picked as a Sun Belt contender and nearly knocked off Missouri Valley favorite UNI in the opener (their only loss).

Griz must be taken seriously in the Big Sky now, with the two performances against Oregon and Washington, especially with how the Ducks bounced back against Montana State. The Huskies also beat Portland State on this same court, 110-55. That was why I was really surprised at how the Griz were able to stay in the game and have a chance for the upset.
