Field set for Men's Big Sky Basketball tourney

The pairings are set for the 2008 Intel Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Championship.
Idaho State earned the fourth seed, finishing 8-8 in conference. The Bengals will play host to No. 5 Montana in a quarterfinal on Saturday, March 8 at Holt Arena. The game will begin at 7 p.m. Mountain. ISU and UM both finished 8-8 in league play and split regular-season meetings. Both teams were swept by first-place Portland State. Idaho State had a victory over second-place Northern Arizona, while Montana was swept by Northern Arizona.
No. 3 seed Weber State will play host to No. 6 Montana State in the other quarterfinal on Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Mountain at the Dee Events Center.
Tickets for those games can be purchased through Idaho State and Weber State.
The semifinals and championship will be held March 11 and 12 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore. Top-seeded Portland State will play in the second semifinal game at 8 p.m. Pacific against the Lowest Remaining Seed. The second semifinal will be televised live by Altitude Sports & Entertainment, and Comcast Sports Net Northwest.
No. 2 Northern Arizona will play in the first semifinal game at 5:30 p.m. Pacific against the Highest Remaining Seed. Altitude will join that game in progress live at the conclusion of its NHL coverage. The Big Sky and Altitude is also working to get the game on live in its entirety in the markets of the two opponents.
Wednesday’s championship game will be televised live by ESPN2 at 6 p.m. Pacific.
