8PM tip, third straight ESPN game

UNI will be on ESPNU again tonight as they take on second place Wichita State, 16-2 overall, at WSU at 9PM Eastern. UNI brings the nations second longest win streak, and 4th best record into tonight's game.

UNI not havin' a really good game right now. Shockers are always dangerous, especially at home. UNI's still a good team though...I think we'll get you guys in the Bracket Buster this year.

It's pretty damn clear our travel plans for the game didn't go as expected. WSU is feeding off the atmosphere BIG time, but that has to wear off as some point...right? We can't get a damn thing to fall, and the refs are letting this game get out of hand.

Feeding off the atmosphere won't wear off; it's their home. UNI is simply gonna have to play above WSU's level. It is a bit of a physical game, but personally, I think UNI is taking too many contested shots. In any game, shots won't fall, but I think poor shot selection, especially those two straight threes around the 8 min mark, is UNI's problem right now.

Worst half by us so far this year...and that includes the start of the second half of the Northern Illinois game where we didn't have a FG for the first 12 minutes of the half

good start to the second though. hopefully UNI proves why it's ranked...

And doesn't loose it's first game ranked like it did the last two times we have been ranked...


This is more like UNI basketball. Would you make the trip to CF if we do get you? A hell of a trip I know, but I'll buy you food.

Unfortunately I put away around $300 for basketball season tix/travel expenses/food/etc., and use the rest of my money to help pay for school. If ODU promotes some kind of special like they do for the NCAA Tournament, then I'd consider it, but I doubt they'll do it for a bracketbuster (ODU's first ever on the road).

I'm sorry, but no one looses games.
They may LOSE them, but not loose.

Call me a grammar nazi if you will, but this particular thing is one of those nails-on-chalkboard type things for me.

And that is why road wins are generally considered more impressive than home wins,
and road losses aren't quite as damaging as home losses (and are weighted accordingly in things such as RPI).
