Friday Night at 7pm/et, ESPNU will broadcast LIVE from Youngstown State's Beeghly Center as the YSU Penguins will take on the UW-Milwaukee Panthers. The game is a WHITE OUT and all fans are encouraged to wear WHITE to the game.

Last year, we had 6,200 fans pack into Beeghly Center as we defeated eventual HL tourney champion Cleveland State 64-60.

I hope you guys take the time to tune in on Friday Night!
GO PENGUINS

We are expecting close to a sell-out, if we do not sell-out on Friday. 5,000+ tickets sold, which does not include the expected student turnout.

Wow, no offense, but even if I had ESPNU, which I don't, I would have to be either a huge degenerate gambler or drunk, or both, to be sitting at home on a Friday night watching those two teams play each other. That's the type of game only people who go to those schools can get excited about.

There are some teams I can't stand to watch...make that conferences. The level of play just isn't there. Sometimes I'll watch out of interest, but I can't stand watching D1 basketball teams play in 3000 seat arenas that are filled with crowds smaller than my high school basketball crowds...and I played for one of the smallest high schools in the state of Iowa. Our school was made up of a town of 800 people, George, and a town of 300 people, Little Rock, and we would pull probably 1500-2000+ for home games. One home game we pulled about 2500 in a 1300 seat gym. Fire code be damned, we ended up going 3 deep standing room on the baselines against the wall on both sides, and letting people sit on the end of the teams benches and pretty much everywhere to fit them in.

Coming from a fan of Delaware, that has complete irrelevance in DI basketball, this makes a lot of sense. :coffee:

With all due respect, the Horizon League is one of the best mid-major conference's in America. We've had a great run in the 2000s. We not some shitty mid-major league. We are a solid league this season yet again.
