BSC officials, why can't you...................

get some air time for BSC basketball? Seriously, has anyone seen the Friday night college basketball schedule? The national schedule is pathetic nationally. The BSC now plays conference games on Friday's. There is a huge opening for some air time for Friday's to have some aired games on ESPN (even espsn full court) and Regional Fox Sports Networks. Check out the link for schedules and go through every Friday schedule. Can someone rationalize why the BSC cannot try taking advantage of so little competition to get some sort of Friday Night Package? After reviewing the schedule I see a door open for the Big Sky conference to get some televised national games or even regional games.
This is really disappointing to me. Can we please get a competent commissioner and league officials that would have the ability to take advantage of something like this for January and February conference Friday Night Televised games? One would think with ESPN, II, ESPNU, espn fullcourt, and regional Fox Sports Network we could some sort of package out. I am going to post this on other sites too. Feedback please!

I don't recall them being on ESPN.
Though they have been on on ESPNU a few times, and ESPN2 once.
But not everyone that gets ESPN gets ESPNU and ESPN2

Same fucking difference really in this aspect.
I know you like pulling your little sly technicalities and shit with you afterthoughts in parenthesis but sometimes it gets rather old

Yep, it's the same as when games are listed as being on KWWL when they are on 7.3.

I thought you meant that they were on ESPN 5 aka "The Cinco".
Seriously though, I knew what you meant.

To me, that is the same thing, I've never heard of either of them.

Unless Big sky play gets ALOT better than it is now, I don't want it on T.V.

ESPN puts SWAC, MEAC, & OVC games on TV, and those leagues are all crappier than the Big Sky.

By the way the Big Sky Conference RPI was 17th last I heard. Most years the conference is below 25. This year the conference is much better as a whole. UNC, Weber State, Montana, Montana State are very good top 4 compared to most years. The conference has also shown well in out of conference play this year.
We also have some very good players in Damian Lilliard, Ballanger (sp?) (weber), Anthony Johnson, Will Cherry, and Brian Qvale (Montana), just to name a few. The Lilliard/Cherry matchup will be epic rest of this year and the next 2 years. Both these guys have legit shots making it to "THE LEAGUE". I challenge anyone to watch either of these young players. They both are exciting and dynamic. Lilliard is a scorer that does everything well. Cherry is quick, athletic, penetrator, and one the best defensive guards you will ever see, not playing in a major conference. He was great against U of Washington's backcourt and is looking like the PAC 10 let one get away. He has 15 steals in his last 4 games.
BTW, Montana has another solid recruiting class coming in.
The Big Sky basketball future is looking bright as it has in the past 15 years.

The conference is better this year, but not quite that much better. The BSC was down in the mid-20s the past few years, but it was only below 25th. in '04-05. Here are the Big Sky rankings for recent seasons as per warrennolan.com (for earlier years) & realtimerpi.com (for the last 4 years):
- '03 - 18th.
'04 - 23rd.
'05 - 30th.
'06 - 17th.
'07 - 24th.
'08 - 25th.
'09 - 24th.
'10 - 17th.

Speak for yourself, Weber is playing great ball right now, and I think they deserve along with the rest of the Big Sky some national Attention. Aside from Altitude and occasionaly The Mtn (Weber vs BYU) the Big Sky gets no games on tv. A couple of Weber's games that would have been great to see on espn, is when Weber played at UNLV, or when Weber hosted and beat Utah
I watched a game the other day between St. Peter's and Manhattan, and as I was watching it I kept saying to myself Weber UNC and Montana would easliy wipe the floor with these teams.
I do believe that the Big SKy once in a while deserves a game on ESPN besides the BSC Championship game.
Heck the Weber State/Montana game this weekend would be alot more fun to watch than Manhattan at St. Peter's
