UMass/Florida in NIT Semi

UMass is prepping for tomorrow nights NIT semi-final match with the Florida Gators, last year's NCAA Champion.
UMass got the the semis by easily handling Stephen F. Austin...topping Akron...and coming back from down 22 to defeat Syracuse...
Tomorrow's match with the Gators starts at 7pm EDT and is on ESPN...

Thanks, jon...I've got several Gator fans here at work to pimp...
Because they didn't make the NCAAs this year, they all thought their season was over...
NIT is not worth their effort, I guess...

NIT is not worth their effort, I guess...
Well, when your team is the 2-time defending national champion, the NIT
does seem pretty insignificant.

UMass comes back again...after being down by 9 at the half...to stomp the Gators 78-66
Once again, the Minutemen kicked up the speed from fast in the first half to Mach 1 in the second half...
They simply ran the Gators off the court...
Next up in the Final on Thursday is the winner of Ohio State-Ole Miss...
To those who wanted a rematch of last year's NCAA final (Florida/OSU)....SORRY....NOT!!!!!!

I was laughing last week about the possibility of a 2007 NCAA rematch in the 2008 NIT finals. I guess that's not going to happen now. Good riddance to the guy who screwed the Magic.
