The Chanticleers will be going to some kind of post season tournament, as the win tonight over Liberty clinches them a regular season Big South championship.

Most wins in school history, most Big South wins in school history, and a couple of butt whoopins' delivered to Liberty. Represent the Big South well, guys!

That gives them an auto into at least the NIT.

Yup... I think they're a virtual lock to win the conference tourney, since they won't have to leave home. Radford might be the only team that can beat them, and I just don't think that'll happen. CCU is peaking.

CCU is the one team with the athletes to compete with any sort of big time school you'll play in a tourney. Radford is slow and can't score. Winthrop just can't score.

WOW. This is exciting. During my days, the team sucked just as much cock as BlackFalkin. Now, they're exceptional! I'm very proud of these boys.

Basically, the story goes like this:

The guy that was playing our mascot at the time was always a stand-up guy. He always made it a point to go say hello to the opposing team's mascot, shake hands, all that good stuff.

(This is the part you see in the video.) Anyway, he goes over to say hi to Duke Dog - kid in the Duke Dog suit decided he was too cool for that, and as Chauncey's walking away Duke Dog kicks him in the backside. So, naturally Chauncey retaliates, the cop breaks it up, and Chauncey leaves to go back over to the CCU side of the stadium.

Duke Dog follows him after the cop broke it up. (That's where the video ends.) Apparently Duke Dog, rather than listen to the police when he was told to give it a rest and go back to his side, decided it would be a good idea to swing at the police officer. At that point he was taken out of the stadium - apparently, they got another person in the Duke Dog suit who was supposedly drunk who also got taken out of the stadium after coming in and acting like an ass.

The guy that was our mascot at the time was asked by the police if he wanted to press charges against the kid playing Duke Dog. He declined.

That's how the story goes, as it was told to me by the guy that was playing Chauncey during the incident.

thanks for the info! never heard ne of that before. im impressed with CCU athletics this yr. specifically basketball and baseball (obviously) but i looked and yall have some good placings at the Indoor track and field BS tournament.

CCU defeats VMI 101-71 to end the season 26-5 (15-3)! What an amazing season - most wins in school history!

Can't wait for the tournament!
