I don't see it as being any different than Creekmore's foul against Ahelegbe earlier in the season.

Right. A hard foul that deserved the intentinal call. But in no way was a douche foul

Guess I'm not familiar with the official qualifications/definition of that brand of infraction.

Should have been of the flagerant variety not just intentional. I was OK with the hand/arm coming down hard over the top to get at the ball, the other hand/forearm in the back was a problem. He got a gift by not being ejected.

So a hand on the back means they should be ejected? What about the guy who jacked Jake Koch in the face on the UNI possession right before?

A forearm shiver delivered to the small of the back with sufficient force to cause the player to cross the baseline and crash into the backboard support padding will under most normal circumstances result in a flagrant being called.

I had no problem at all with the hard foul over the top on the ball.

It doesn't mean he's a d-bag or anything like that, just sometimes aggressive players do stuff like that, it happens in the heat of the battle in a close game. When you watch the clip of the play, leaves little doubt he got a real gift with the no call. They decided the intentional, 2 FT and the ball out of bounds was enough.

Not sure it would of changed the game significantly anyways, but it was what it was.

Lucas O'Rear.
The Alexander Ovechkin of the MVC.

Kidding, Lucas doesn't have the scoring numbers. But both players do play very physical (and dirty on occasion). Of course, I'm not sure how applicable it is to compare hockey and basketball. (other than the requisite "line change" reference that every announcer is obligated to make with Coach Jake's substitutions)

and ANY MVC fan that says he wouldn't him on their team is a bold faced liar

Who's your "sleeper", your pick to go deeper than they should?

I'll go with either SIU or CU, I think both will be a tough out.

CU just because they are who they are, especially come this time of year in St. Louis. A team that scares me is Drake. If they get hot and can carry it over they could be very scary. The thing that won't help them those is those tired legs that come from, for them, 4 straight days (assuming they pull some HUGE upsets.

I'll continue to post updates as they come to me, you must forgive me, I may of had too much to drink thisafternoon.

Just saw an ad on TV, next years Arch Madness will be at the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St Louis Rams instead of the Scott Trade Center.

The SIU dance line put on quite the show. They wore daisy duke cutoff denim jean shorts and white tank top wife beaters and did a number to Gretchen Wilson's Redneck Woman. They could of at least put on costumes instead of wearing thesame thing they wear to class every day.

Good news is, that we've pretty much locked up an NCAA berth already, so we should be playing without a ton of pressure. Wichita, on the other hand, is in a must win situation for a tourney berth.

WSU definitely has to win today to get in. Even though they pass the eye test IMO and could win a game or two in the tournament if their group breaks their way.
