NC State is going to win it all!!!!!! I kid, I kid. Fuck NC State!
In all seriousness, there was a discussion on the radio here in Charlotte today on whether you should take Duke or the field. This year, I'm taking Duke...how about you?

Re: ACC tournament thread
Duke is the safe bet.
But Maryland is definitely playing the best basketball in the ACC right now.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a Duke/Maryland final.

Re: ACC tournament thread
How many people would have predicted that UNC would be playing on the first day of the ACC tourney.....?
"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801

I'd put my money on Maryland, I'm just hoping FSU brings some offense with them. Otherwise we're looking at an ugly game.

Wake #5 seed vs. #12 Miami - Miami up by 14 at the half. I wish I could watch it instead of just checking the scores.

I'm watching Wake is looking sloppy. Miami is playing inspired.ASUG8 wrote:Wake #5 seed vs. #12 Miami - Miami up by 14 at the half. I wish I could watch it instead of just checking the scores.

Re: ACC tournament thread
Wake:
32% from the floor
11% from 3 pt
59% from the stripe
the U:
51% from the floor
47% from 3 pt
90% from the stripe
Pretty easy to see the scoring difference without watching the game.

Another late season WFU meltdown, losing 5 of the last 6.

How much longer for Dino? If UNC wins tonight, is it a death knell for Hewitt?ASUG8 wrote:Another late season WFU meltdown, losing 5 of the last 6.

I don't know about Dino - he's in the Prosser mold, but Wake hasn't really had a lot of post season success since Dave Odom. I don't question Dino's intensity, but clearly something is breaking down. In other words, I got nothin'.ASUMountaineer wrote:How much longer for Dino? If UNC wins tonight, is it a death knell for Hewitt?ASUG8 wrote:Another late season WFU meltdown, losing 5 of the last 6.

Yeah, he strikes me as a Houston Fancher type. Great person, great representative of the school, but just can't seem to get over the hump.ASUG8 wrote:I don't know about Dino - he's in the Prosser mold, but Wake hasn't really had a lot of post season success since Dave Odom. Re: ACC tournament thread
Yeah, if Tech loses tonight it would be difficult to include them in the tournament, I can't imagine Hewitt keeping his job if they don't go dancing this season. He pretty much was only given this year because of how outstanding this freshman class was supposed to be.ASUMountaineer wrote:How much longer for Dino? How can a team like UNC fall so far so fast?
