2010 NIT Thread

There are too many teams in the NIT to say anything in a post without writing a book. Let's just say that my bracket has NOBODY higher than a 3 seed in the semis and a 7 seed taking the title.

I have Weber taking out Memphis State in the semis to take on UCONN (who beats North Carolina in the semis) for the title. Gotta stay loyal to the Sky team with a history of making noise in postseason tournaments.

I do have CCU taking out the Blazers, but that's the end of the line. Sorry.

You have them going further than I do.

To be honest the only reason they are there is the regular season title, which guaranteed them a spot.

Here is my bracket for the NIT

Top half left side
Illinois
Kent State
Illinois State
Cincinnati

Illinois
Illinois State

Illinois

(I'm not sure Illinois State wants to be there though...if Osirus Eldridge doesn't show up then Cinci take them out, but Illinois still takes down Cincy.
Bottom half left side
Arizona State
Texas Tech
Memphis
Mississippi

Arizona State
Missisippi

Mississippi

For the right hand side I got

Top half
Va Tech
UCONN
Wichita State
Rhode Island

Va Tech
Wichita State

Wichita State

Bottom half
Mississippi State
North Carolina
South Florida
UAB

Mississippi State
UAB

Mississippi State

My final four looks like Illinois vs. Mississippi and Wichita State vs. Mississippi State

I've got Mississippi vs Wichita State in the finals

I'll take Wichita State to win it.

Of course that is if Wichita State actually wants to be in the NIT. If not I still have them Final Four, I'll just take Mississippi State over Mississippi in the finals.

If (and that's a big IF) USF can hit some outside shots as opposed to hitting almost none in the Big East tourney. They can make a decent run. Not saying they'll win but they can be dangerous.

I hope Weber comes out to play well against CIncy. There was one guy on ESPN that thought CIncy was the team that could have problems.

Stony Brook will host Illinois tomorrow night at 9pm. The game was sold out late yesterday.

Hey it worked for us! Except for the students ( 1500) to be exact all tickets were $12.00 and we sold all 3500 seats. So our first ever post season tourney and its home before 5000 fans. We will need all the help we get. Illinois isnt Kansas but they are good enough.

Perhaps ASU would have done better traveling.

Jacksonville's player banked in a 25 foot 3-pointer as time expired to give Jacksonville a 1-point victory.

What a horrendous end to a very promising season. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Outside of AZ State, whom thankfully I had losing second round I am perfect so far. However, thanks to the AZ State loss, if WSU wins they should get me a couple more points

Cincy beats Weber, 76-62.

The Wildcats had a season-high 23 turnovers. Cincinnati was among the worst three-point shooting teams in the nation, but went 11-28 from the arc in this game. Damian Lillard scored nearly half of Weber's points and was the only Wildcat in double figures.

76-64 win for URI over Northwestern. Always nice to beat an FBS school. Looking forward to a home game vs. the winner of Witchita St and Nevada.

GO RHODY!

So. You Weber fans are so high and mighty all the time about your bball team and put the rest of the conference down as much as possible...how nice is it to have you get to host the tourney and lose again on your home floor. HAHAHAHA

Then go to the NIT and lose again. :thumb: For being a total shit stain. IF you could ever quit docking with your brother you would realize that the world doesn't give two shits about weber.
