Love them Lobo fans...

Post by mlbowl »

I was not aware that UNM, win or lose, already has a second round game...

Love this...
"Lobo fans, if you are going to be in San Jose for the Lobos’ first and second round NCAA Tournament games,..." http://thelobolair.com/forum/showthread ... l-San-Jose

I agree that is a bit premature, but if I'm a fan of a higher seed, I'd plan on staying for the weekend. (of course I'd be wrong last year with FSU ) I don't really see anything wrong with that.

I hear you...I'm sure they can't imagine losing. BUT...I remember a few years ago, when Nevada fans thought they had punched their ticket to the second round  ...I laughed....and I laughed....and I laughed again!

I hesitate to throw smack UNM's way after they gave my old UOP teammate Graham Leigh a shot after we gave up the ghost, but I'd like to see how they react to the sight of the Griz in the Sweet 16.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I've been on their site all day...they're actually some pretty cool cats...wolves...whatever the heck a Lobo is...but they REALLY don't think Montana has any shot at all...most of them are predicting a 20 pt. win.Could happen...BUT, If the Griz play like I know they're capable of playing, we should be in for a game

What are you confused about :ohno: ...No, they were not right implying that they were automatically in the second round...their team still had to play us...and after watching the entire game (I'm pretty sure you didn't) I'd be willing to bet they didn't feel like there was anything automatic about it at all.

Ball handling was pretty bad...not quite as sloppy as JMU's first rd game tho :thumb:

Wait...you actually watched a first-round CAA basketball game?? Wow, that's 3000% more dedication that I have for CAA b-ball! I can't tell you the last time I watched a CAA game. Probably when GMU went on their little run in 2006 (I think).
I could not care any less about JMU basketball though. Or CAA basketball. JMU basketball has been a joke for years now. Dish out as many JMU basketball knocks as you want, I'll probably join you! :thumb:

Anyways...the Lobos fans had every right to assume they would beat a #14 seed. Comes with the reward of being a #3. Of course, if they lost then that's their own damn fault. But they are supposed to win that game, every time. Just ask Georgetown how that goes!

Well damn...there's no fun in that
