That was pretty cool.JayJ79 wrote:cool to see UNI get acknowledged (even though ESPN evidently has banned anyone from saying "UNI", and it has to be said "Northern Iowa").
Though I have to say that the part of the program that impressed me the most was their tribute to Ed Thomas and his family.
I agree with the above, I also liked Seth Meyers' opening.JayJ79 wrote:I definitely chuckled at the Blind Side spoof.
Other than the UNI appearance, the Thomas tribute, and the "Dark Side", I thought the rest of the show was rather lame. but then, most award shows are.
oh, Brooklyn Decker looked hot too, so that's a plus. but still.
when was that?wkuhillhound wrote:Congrats Northern Iowa! Another accomplishment that Western Kentucky has done before UNI!To top it off, WKU done it to a MVC team.
In 2008, when WKU beat Drake in the 1st round in Tampa Bay, FL. WKU also went to the Sweet Sixteen that year as well. Lost to UCLA with a courageous comeback in the 2nd half.JayJ79 wrote:when was that?wkuhillhound wrote:Congrats Northern Iowa! Oh, okay. You were referring to making it to the Sweet Sixteen. I thought you were saying that WKU had also won an Espy for Best Upset or something. (and while Drake was pretty good that year, WKU's win wasn't THAT big of an upset in most peoples eyes). But it was, of course, still a great accomplishment for the Hilltoppers as well.wkuhillhound wrote:In 2008, when WKU beat Drake in the 1st round in Tampa Bay, FL.
