The only new commitment that we ran across all day was provided to us by Antonio Curro of NY2LA Sports, who is reporting that 6'5 Larry Savage from Arlington (Bishop O'Connell) VA has picked the University of Delaware. And we think this is an excellent catch for a number reasons. First, Savage is an athletic power forward who does most of his damage inside right now, but has the potential to project down the road as a wing forward. Second, Savage is good enough to be ranked in the 200-250 range nationally and he plays with a chip on his shoulder, which makes him the stereotypical type of guy that a lot of schools have been successful with in the Colonial Athletic Association. Third, Savage plays for Joey Wootten in one of the premier high school programs in the nation in the tough WCAC (Washington Catholic Athletic Conference). Fourth, Savage joins 6'1 Jarvis Threatt from Highland Springs (H.S.) VA, 6'3 Khalid Lewis-El from Hamilton (Trenton (Catholic) NJ, and 6'7 Marvin King-Davis from Richmond (Meadowcreek) VA in a recruiting class that is now ranked #22 on our list of the Top Recruiting Classes To-Date for the Class of 2011. However, even more important, the Blue Hens clearly have the best recruiting class in the league and every one of these players is good enough to step in and make an immediate impact
