Purdue senior Robbie Hummel retore his ACL in practice during a drill on Saturday morning and will miss the entire 2010-11 season.
A big blow to a Purdue team that was easily in the Top 10 with Hummel. He missed the Boilermakers last eight games last season after having the same injury. He also missed a lot of games during his sophomore season with a back injury. He is eligible for a fifth season with a medical redshirt.
Bad deal all around for both Hummel and Purdue Basketball. He is a hell of a player whom I personally enjoyed watching. Hopefully he can get back on the court next year but one has to wonder about his future.
