I was surprised to see that, too. I'm also surprised the Bobcats were rated that low.
Here's the way things look to me:
1. Portland St.
2. Montana
3. Idaho St.
4t.
Clusterf@ck
9. Sac State

Dont ever doubt NAU as long as Mike Adras is the head coach, same with Randy Rahe at Weber, the 2 programs are in good shape with those 2!
As for UM, PSU & ISU...let see how this season plays out.
Lots of new coaches in the 'Sky over the past couple years.
Other than NAU, all the coaches are newbs...

I doubted we would do so well last year, and we ended up being the only Big Sky team with a top-50 RPI win (beat Sweet 16 member Western Kentucky).
I just never like to get my hopes up

Prediction:
WSU will NOT finish as bad as the coaches/media poll picked em: 4th & 5th. I went to the Purple & White game yesterday, we gonna be good!!
I say top 2, who dares disagree?

I do. Weber lost a lot of seniors from last year.
Portland State seems like the best team & Montana has a lot of talent. Idaho State is pretty experienced, too.

One?
We have been playing postseason basketball the last seven years with six trips to the NCAA tourney and a trip to the NIT. We've been to the NCAAs nine times since 1993. We went to the Sweet Sixteen in 2002 and 2007. What have you done lately?

We did have 4 seniors last yr and 2 were starters. The new crew is even better!
Montana had the most talent last year, Tinks gets another chance to prove his team is good.
PSU, after winning it all, we'll see if they can handle being the conference target, I dont think they can, especially with no home court advantage. Losing Huff and Morrison will have an affect and we wont know about all these tranfers until we see them play. I do remember the one from UW was good for the Huskies though. Why would he transfer?
ISU? Please...

If you say so…

Montana did
not have the most talent last year. Good shooters, but not much athleticism.

No homecourt advantage? Yeah, their arena is barely even suitable for Big Sky volleyball games, but the fans are right on the court & the Vikings only lost one game at home all of last year.
Portland State clearly had the most talent last year & they proved it. They also return the best player in the conference in Jeremiah Dominguez.

With 9 of their 13 non-conference games on the road and going 6-7 with close road losses at Miami OH, Utah, Southern Miss and Arizona. and having a wonderful second half comeback/ and winning in overtime, against Northern Colorado, thats not bad for a Weber State team that has 2 seniors, 6 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 6 freshmen. 2 of our freshmen are starters.
Weber probably wont win the Sky this year, I see them finishing at least 3rd place though.
And we have loads of talent coming back next year.
