App St - Furman Roll Call

Game is this Sat at 4p in Traveler's Rest. ASUG8, Mrs. G8, my old college roommate & girlfriend, Mrs. 'Holic & myself will be at the game. Anybody else going? Is there a restaurant near FU campus where some thirsty App fans could grab a beer before and/or after the game?

I haven't been here just yet, but it looks promising. There's quite a bit just South of Furman at Cherrydale. I'll hit up my builder friend (FU grad) and see what he recommends.

G8, we need to plan on getting together with black and gold later in the month of February. I should start freeing up by then. Keep it in mind and let me know when you might be available.

We were supposed to be good this season.
Oh well, I'll get to check out Timmons arena anyway - maybe we'll get lucky when the beer and cheezits crowd invades the wine and cheese crowd.
Give me a date, time, and place and I'll catch up with you and B&G.

Appa - let me know what time you're getting in...you can come to the house and we can go downtown first or we can hit Mojo's closer to TR. I'm about 12-15 min from FU.

OK, OK, we got beat by 20.....we're a football school.
Caught up with Appa, Mrs. Appa and Tom and Amy today for a few brews and burgers pregame. Given that we're all fans of Man vs. Food this place had a challenge burger that no one chose to attempt, Appa and Tom went after the "wimpy" version, which consists of two burger patties, a fried egg, chili, cheese, and bacon served between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Appa dispatched his in probably less than 7 minutes. One day I hope to snatch the pebble from his hand, for I am but a grasshopper.

I wouldn't worry about that, he'll probably drop it when he goes to clutch his chest.
